Send the Invoice. Get Paid Online.
MonuOS is monument invoicing software for shops that are tired of chasing a balance. Send a branded invoice, the family pays securely online, and the invoice updates itself the moment the payment succeeds — no one has to notice it, and no one has to key it in twice. Deposits, balances, receipts and alerts all sit in the same place as the order.
Can families pay a monument invoice online?
Yes. Connect your Stripe account and every payable invoice carries a Pay Online button. The family pays on Stripe's secure page, and the money goes to your account — it never passes through MonuOS.
A card payment, taken properly
The family opens the invoice on their phone, taps Pay Online, and pays by card on Stripe's own hosted page. Nothing to install, no card numbers read over the phone, no card details stored in your shop.
Wallets, where they apply
Supported wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Cash App Pay and Amazon Pay can appear at checkout subject to eligibility. They still settle to you the same way — the family just does not have to type a card number.
Deposits and balances
Take a deposit up front and the balance when the stone is set. The amount due, what has been paid, and what is outstanding stay visible on the order, not in someone's head.
Does the invoice mark itself paid?
Yes — and this is the part that is genuinely different from a payment link.
Through your connected Stripe account
A successful payment updates the invoice automatically. Nobody has to spot an email, open the processor's dashboard, and record the payment by hand. The receipt, the balance and the order status all move by themselves, and you get an alert that the money arrived.
Through a hosted link from another processor
You can still offer the payment pages you already use — PayPal, or your own card processor — right beside the card option on the same invoice. But those services never tell MonuOS the money arrived, so the invoice cannot update itself and your shop confirms that payment. MonuOS says this plainly on the invoice instead of pretending it knows.
That honesty is deliberate. A system that silently guesses a payment landed is worse than one that tells you it cannot be sure.
Can families use Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay for a headstone?
Supported pay-over-time options can be shown at checkout when your shop has enabled them and the provider's own eligibility rules allow it. Stripe and the provider decide what any individual family is offered — MonuOS never promises a plan and never implies anyone is approved.
How it works for the shop
The provider handles the family's instalment plan, while your shop's payment is processed through Stripe. Normal payout timing, refunds and disputes still apply, exactly as they do for a card payment.
Why it matters in this trade
A memorial is often an unplanned expense at the worst possible moment. Giving a family a way to spread the cost — without you carrying the paperwork — can be the difference between an order placed now and an order postponed.
Which payment methods can a shop choose to accept?
All of them are your decision. In Shop Settings → Payments → Ways a family can pay online, switch supported wallets, pay-over-time options and bank transfer on or off for your own account.
Cards stay on
Credit and debit cards are how the Pay Online button works, so they are not a switch. A shop that does not want to take online payments at all turns online payments off instead — rather than leaving a button that cannot complete.
Everything else is optional
Turn a method on and you are saying you are willing to accept it. Stripe still decides what each family actually sees, based on the amount and their own situation.
No fee from us
MonuOS adds no platform fee of its own on an invoice payment. Stripe's own processing rates still apply and are charged by Stripe.
How online payment works, start to finish
A branded invoice
Build the invoice from the order — line items priced by the same engine your quotes use, your logo, your terms. Send it by email or text, or copy a private link.
The family pays online
They open it on a phone, tap Pay Online, and pay on Stripe's secure page with whatever method you have enabled and Stripe offers them.
The invoice updates itself
The payment posts against the invoice, the balance drops, a receipt is available, and you get an alert. Nobody re-keys anything.
The money side of a monument shop, in one place
Receivables you can actually see
Who owes what, how old it is, and which invoices have been viewed but not paid — instead of a folder of PDFs and a memory.
Receipts & statements
Printable receipts and paid-in-full statements with your branding, ready to hand a family or a funeral home.
Payment gates on the board
Hold a job at a production stage until the deposit is in. The rule lives on the board, is auditable, and does not depend on someone remembering.
An append-only ledger
Payments are recorded, never quietly edited away. What happened to the money stays readable later.
QuickBooks, connected
Export customers, invoices and payments with preview-and-approve — never a silent change to your books.
Profitability per job
What the stone cost, what you charged, and what was actually left — by order, not by guesswork.
Built for monument shops, not retail
MonuOS is monument shop management software first: the invoice is attached to the order, the order is attached to the stone, and the stone is attached to a family and a cemetery lot. Getting paid is one part of that, not a bolt-on. See all features, read why MonuOS exists, or look at pricing.
